  • Should I ceramic coat my cosmetic PPF?

    We do encourage you to consider adding a ceramic coating to the top of your cosmetic paint protection film in the same way you would on a traditional clear bra. However, we at Royal Detail do encourage you to consider what KIND of fashion PPF you are having installed. If the goal is to put a matte finish on your ride, adding gloss is not a necessary step. 

    Paint protection films are only for your paintwork, providing hydrophobicity and self-healing security to those areas.  There are specialty protection films that help defend high-impact automotive glass areas like your windshield from rock chips or massive fractures. 

  • Can I layer two different cosmetic paint protection films to my vehicle?
